What’s included
Every screen is custom-made with stainless steel 12x12 mesh of 0.035-inch wire and tamper-proof hidden screws, built to resist cutting, prying and kicking.
Yes. Every security screen we install on French doors is custom-made for that opening, so the glass doors can stand open for fresh air while the screen stays locked.
That is the job of a security screen on a French door: it adds a powerful layer of security without closing up the room. As we like to say, it “Keeps the Bugs and Thugs Out & the Kids and Pets In.” You can watch how our security doors and French doors operate after installation on our page about security screen doors in Orange County.
From $5,000, installed, with a 15-year warranty on product and labor.
What changes the price: the number of French door openings, oversize dimensions, custom colors, and building specifics that need extra materials and prep. Larger openings cost more.

Every screen is custom-made to each opening, in any size, any shape, any color. French doors can swing into the room or out toward the patio.

In two layers: strengthen the doors themselves, then add a security screen with its own lock. The first layer costs little and helps doors that are closed. The second is what lets you open the doors and stay protected.
Start with these low-cost fixes:
Every fix on this list works on closed doors. On a warm evening, when you want the doors wide open, none of them helps. A security screen does.
Every screen is custom-made with stainless steel 12x12 mesh of 0.035-inch wire and tamper-proof hidden screws, built to resist cutting, prying and kicking. The screen has its own lock, so the glass doors can stay open while the screen stays locked. See how our security screens are made and tested.
Yes, many are, and the weak spot is usually the center, where the two doors meet.
The center is weak because there is no solid frame there. On a single door, the lock goes into a frame fixed to the wall. On most pairs of French doors, one door locks into the other, and that other door is held only by bolts at the top and bottom. A hard kick where the doors meet pushes on both doors at once, and short bolts or thin screws can give way.
Glass is the second weak spot. French doors are mostly glass, so a broken pane near the handle can let someone reach in and open the lock from inside. Doors that open out add a third: hinges on the outside of the house.
That is why a lock upgrade alone only goes so far on French doors. A security screen protects the whole opening, including the center, the glass and the handles, with stainless steel mesh and its own lock.
Not much. Each screen is custom-made for your doors, with an elegant design that complements your home, and the frame comes in hundreds of colors, so you can match your trim or door frames. From inside you keep the view and plenty of natural light, and the mesh provides daytime privacy.
